Bingo starts June 18

The Land O’ Lakes Chamber of Commerce will sponsor bingo Wednesday evenings this summer, June 18 through Aug. 20, at St. Albert’s Church Hall in Land O’ Lakes. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and games will begin at 7 p.m.

Twelve regular games and three special games will be played per night.  Total pay out will be $450.  Refreshments will be available throughout the evening. Children are welcome.

VFW fish fry slated June 13

There will be a walleye fish fry to benefit Stateline Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8400 Friday, June 13, at 4 p.m. at VFW Post 8400, located on Highway B in Land O’ Lakes. Beer and soda will be available.

Bead artist to give presentation June 21

The Land O’ Lakes Chamber of Commerce announced the upcoming events in The Summer Days of Art series, which runs through Colorama, Sept. 30.

Saturday, June 21, native bead artist Tom Strobel will give a presentation at the Trading Post in Land O’ Lakes at 1 p.m.

Farmers market begins June 12

The Land O’ Lakes Farmers Market, sponsored by Land O’ Lakes Chamber of Commerce, will open for its 19th season Thursday, June 12, beginning at 9 a.m. in downtown Land O’ Lakes.

Markets will be held every Thursday through late September. New vendors are always welcome.

The event will feature a breakfast of vendors

Upscale Resale planned Aug. 2

The Upscale Resale will be held at Artistree Gallery in downtown Land O’ Lakes Saturday, Aug. 2, in conjunction with the town’s annual communitywide garage sale. All proceeds will directly benefit Land O’ Lakes Area Artisans Inc. (LOLA).

“We all have good things we’ve been saving that we’re not using anymore,” said Marilyn Annin, an event organizer. “They’re too good to toss out, and we don’t know what to do with them.
