Pedestrian struck in Minocqua

A?50-year-old pedestrian was injured Monday afternoon in a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic accident on Highway 51 500 feet north of North Loop in Minocqua, according to the Minocqua Police Department.

La Marre ends recall effort against Briggs

Town of Plum Lake resident Craig La Marre has ended his recall effort of town Chairwoman Dianne Briggs.

La Marre obtained recall forms from the Government Accountability Board (GAB) in Madison and delivered them to Plum Lake Clerk/Treasurer Sharon Brooker June 24, but on July 11 La Marre sent a letter to Brooker saying he is no longer circulating a recall petition to be signed by town residents.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s slated Sept. 13 in Antigo

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alz­heimer’s® will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, at Johnson Electric Coil Co. in Antigo. Day-of registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Early registration is also available online at alz.org/walk.

The Antigo walk committee has been making plans for this year’s event and is welcoming new team captains, team members and day-of volunteers.

De Bruyne lobbies for ATVs, saying multi-use trails possible
