Another attempt to increase the number of county board members on the County-Tribal Concerns Committee to five super-visors was defeated 12-9 by the Vilas County Board last week.
While the resolution was presented to the board by the Legislative & Judicial Committee on a 3-2 committee vote, Supervisor Al Bauman, who was absent at the October county board meeting, pleaded to increase the representation from three to five.
“We need representation from all areas of the county,” Bauman said. “That is important.”
