Irene Annette (née Zehren) Collien, formerly of Mayville, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira. She was 104.

Mrs. Collien was born Sept, 13, 1909, in Lomira, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (née Troll) Zehren.

She was united in marriage to Arthur Collien Nov. 20, 1930, in Beaver Dam.

Bill Demlow

Bill Demlow, a 25-year resident of Conover and formerly of Waterloo and Watertown, died Friday, Nov. 1. He was 57.

Mr. Demlow was born  Feb. 6, 1956, to Armin and Lenore Demlow.  He married his wife, Shirley, May 2, 1981, in Beaver Dam.

He was employed at Chanticleer Inn as a bar manager for more than 20 years.  He owned and operated Monheim Guide Service for many years where he was known as “the Panfish Professor.”

Frederick Earl Frederickson

Frederick Earl Frederickson of Phelps died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at his home. He was 81.

Mr. Frederickson was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Leeman, the son of Frederick and Amanda (née Fisher) Frederickson.

He served in the U.S. Army 96th Gun Battalion, sta­tioned in Alaska.

Marvin A. Kraut
Marvin A. Kraut

Marvin A. Kraut of Conover, formerly of Clintonville, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Kindred Hearts in New London. He was 89.

Mr. Kraut was born Sept. 28, 1924, on the family farm in Larrabee to Robert and Ella (Reinke) Kraut.

He was united in marriage March 10, 1945, to Ella M. Schultz at Immanuel Lutheran Church parsonage in Caroline.  They were lifelong dairy farmers in Larrabee.

After retiring in 1979, the couple settled in Conover.

John Lakso, a 20-year resident of Phelps and formerly of Amasa, Mich., died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at his home. He was 78.
