Joyce Ingram

Joyce Ingram, age 91, a lifelong resident of Eagle River, Wis., went to be with her Lord and Savior Dec. 13, 2013.

She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Fargo, N.D., to Lyle and Pearl Karenke.

Joyce was an active member of Community Bible Church in Eagle River, where she faithfully played the piano at all church services, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies Mission Group.

She taught Bible classes to children for many years.

Dennis Larson

Dennis Larson, a lifelong resident of Conover, died Dec. 13, 2013, at his home. He was 52.

Mr. Larson was born Jan. 16, 1961, in Rhinelander to Neal and Louise Larson.

His interests included snowmobiling, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

John ‘Jack’ Robert Mettelka

John “Jack” Robert Mettelka, age 83, of Eagle River, Wis., formerly of Green Bay, Wis., died unexpectedly at home on Dec. 10, 2013.

He was born on Christmas Day 1929, in Wausau, Wis., to Erwin and Arlyle (Anderson) Mettelka.

Jack served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and also spent six years in the Air Force Reserve.

After serving his country he moved to Milwaukee to take a job with the Veri-Typer Corp.

William C. Minnich Sr.

William C. Minnich Sr. of St. Germain died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Avanti Health and Rehabilitation Cen­ter in Minocqua. He was 86.

Mr. Minnich was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., July 15, 1927, and graduated from Purdue University in 1949.

He married Doris Naomi Goetsch June 18, 1949.

Howard ‘Howie’ Schmeling

Howard “Howie” Schmeling, a resident of Three Lakes since 1988, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, in Weston. He was 78.

Mr. Schmeling was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Edgerton to Stanley and Louella Schmeling.

He graduated from Milton High School in 1954, and retired from General Motors in 1987.
