Charles Wallace Brown Sr.

On Oct. 26, 1937, Charlie was born in Eagle River, Wis., to Laurence and Laura (Kalous) Brown. He was the fourth of eight siblings.

Charlie was mostly raised in Chicago, but never forgot his roots in Eagle River.

He moved back to Eagle River, full time, on Jan. 21, 2012. His life came full circle when he passed on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

Vanita Ma­rie Price, 81, of Keno­sha, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at Clare Bridge Senior Living Center in Kenosha.

She was born on June 23, 1932, in Eagle River, Wis., the daughter of the late Everett and Selma (Fett) Dotson. She resided in Eagle River until 1958, when she went to Kenosha to make her home.

Clarence R. Alt, 106, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Venice, Fla., Edina, Minn., and Manitowoc, Wis., passed away of natural causes on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Fran Rismon, age 90, of Eagle River, Wis., went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Milestone Assisted Living in Eagle River.

She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Sedalia, Mo., to Virgil and Gertrude (Renfrow) Lujin.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, V.S. Lujin Jr. (Buzzie) and her husband, Ole “Bud” Rismon in 2000.

James R. Fischer, age 76, of Eagle River, Wis., formerly of Green Bay and Rhine­lander,  Wis., passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, surrounded by his family in death as in life.

Jim was born to Bernard and Hilda Fischer on Feb. 21, 1938, in Green Bay.

He worked many years for Bark River Culvert and Equipment Co. and retired after 25 years as Vilas County Highway Commissioner.

Richard Dale Landerman, age 72, passed away on March 4, 2014, at Oscar Johnson Veterans Hospital, Iron Mountain, Mich.

Born Nov. 13, 1941, in Fond du Lac, Wis., the son of Earl Landerman Sr. and Ann Elizabeth Flood.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; two stepsons, Matthew and Nathan Weisman; one stepdaughter, Nili Hers­ko­vitz; and her five children; and five grandchildren.

William A. Maines

William A. Maines, 91, a longtime Sayner resident, passed away at home with his family at his side, on March 14, 2014.

Bill was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., the eldest son of Arthur and Eugenia (Freer) Maines in 1922.

He trained as a tool and die making apprentice with General Electric before joining the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1943.

He lived in upstate New York
