Brian F. Ayers, age 56, of Eagle River, Wis., went to his Eternal Home on Feb. 11, 2014.

Brian was born on Dec. 20, 1957, in Eagle River. He was the son of Forrest and Mary (née Hebert) Ayers.

Brian worked construction for many years in Wyoming before returning to Eagle River. He had been the groundskeeper at Pine Glo Motel for the last six years.

Brian had a great love for the outdoors. He also loved hunting and fishing. He had a tender spot for all God’s creatures.

The soul of Konrad H. Doepke, 80, of Conover, Wis., passed into eternal life in Heaven on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.

Husband, father, Opa, uncle, friend, mentor — Konrad will be mourned by his wife of 56 years, Arlene, and their three sons, Brian (Melissa) of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Darrell (Lori) of Glendale, Ariz., and Joel of Pulaski, Wis.

Adeline B. Elverson

Adeline B. Elverson, age 97, a lifelong resident of Phelps, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Country House Phelps Care.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1916, in Phelps, the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Tidd) Somers.

Adeline met and married Carl Elverson in 1939, and they had 57 years together.

Janet Froelich

Janet Froelich, age 90, a resident of Sayner, Wis., and formerly of Englewood, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at her home.

She was born in Rockford, Ill., on May 1, 1923, to Ernest and Hulda Estwing.

She married James Froelich. They owned and operated “Wah-Wah-Taysee” Resort on Plum Lake from 1950 to 1990.
