James ‘Jim’ Mazeika

James “Jim” Mazeika, formerly of Fountain, Mich., and a resident of Eagle River,  died Friday, April 4, 2014, in Eagle River. He was 63.

Mr. Mazeika was born  June 5, 1950, in Ludington, Mich., to Matthew and Veronica (nee Kava) Mazeika.

His interests included  visiting with his friends and family.

Robert ‘Bob’ G. Lietzau

Robert “Bob” G. Lietzau, age 87, formerly of Pewaukee, Wis., and a resident of Conover, Wis., since 1997, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff, Wis.

Bob was born Feb. 12, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Clarence and Mildred Lietzau.

He worked as a tool and die maker for many years. He learned his trade through his father.

Bob enjoyed viewing and feeding

Lee Roy McConnell

On 1 April, 2014, Lee Roy McCon­nell, son of Leroy Men­a­due (Ky.) and Neva Ritchie (Neb.), passed away peacefully at the Palo Alto Veterans Medical Center in Palo Alto, Calif. He was 81 years old.

Lee is survived by his son, Timothy; and daughters, Erin, Andrea and Meighan (and cat, Tucker).

He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. In Korea, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps with honors.

Rose ‘DeRosso’ Obrodovich

Rose “De­Rosso” Obro­do­vich passed away March 31, 2014, at Hospice of the Valley, Ryan House in Phoenix, Ariz., at the age of 91.

Rose was born March 20, 1923, in Hurley, Wis.

She married Mike Obro­do­vich in 1939, and had two sons who survive her. Mike and Rose moved to Eagle River, Wis., in 1945, where Mike owned and operated Lakeland Motors Ford that has remained in the family for 70 years.

Dona Richter

Dona Richter, age 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 6, 2014.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ed; son, Guy (Terry) of Rye, Colo., and daughter Gail (Tom) Kuklinski of Hayward, Wis.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one sister, Margery Payne-Schlinder.

Dona was the youngest of five children. She lost her father and oldest brother when she was 11 years old. They scratched out a living on their homestead farm on Croker Road.
