Vilas County Court report

A 32-year-old Eagle River man, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, fourth offense in five years, was fined more than $2,400 and will spend six months in the county jail, in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Richard C. LaCrosse  also pleaded no contest and was found guilty of possession of an illegally obtained prescription, a misdemeanor. Charges of operating with prohibited alcohol concentration, misdemeanor theft and obstructing and officer were dismissed in the plea agreement.

Man convicted of 5th-offense OWI
gets six months in jail, fined $3,214

A 37-year-old Lac du Flambeau man pleaded no contest and was found guilty to fifth-offense operating while intoxicated in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Preston J. Allen’s sentence was withheld and he was placed on probation for three years with conditions that include six months in jail and a fine more than $3,200. Charges of operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration and operating a motor vehicle while revoked were dismissed in the plea agreement.

Man sentenced to state prison
for violating parole from ’08

A 34-year-old Lac du Flambeau man, who was placed on probation for eight years in June of 2008 after pleading no contest to second-degree sexual assault of a child, was sentenced to seven years in the Wisconsin Prison System at a sentencing hearing on revocation in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Samuel J. Tucker Jr. possessed illegal drugs with the intent to deliver and used illegal drugs between Nov. 15, 2013, and April 4, 2014, both violations of his parole. He also behaved disorderly toward a school bus driver Feb. 20 according to court documents provided
