Woman gets five years’ probation
for possessing, delivering narcotics

A 21-year-old Lac du Flambeau woman, who transported drugs from Milwaukee to sell in Lac du Flambeau, was sentenced to four years in the Wisconsin Prison System, including two years of initial confinement and two years of extended supervision, in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Charlene R. Edwards was convicted of possession with intent to deliver narcotics, party to a crime.

Circuit Judge Neal A. Nielsen III stayed the sentence and placed Edwards on five years’

Eagle River man gets probation
after pleading no contest to theft

A 20-year-old Eagle River man who broke into his neighbor’s home in the town of Washington last winter was placed on probation for three years after his sentence was withheld in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Victory P. Perotto, charged with burglary of a building or dwelling, pleaded no contest to an amended charge of theft and was found guilty. He also pleaded no contest and was found guilty of criminal trespass. A charge of misdemeanor theft was dismissed in the plea agreement.
