A total of 269 complaints were entered by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week.

The department reported 25 vehicle accidents, one attempt to locate, two requests for an ambulance, one animal problem, four requests for agency assistance, six burglar alarms, 19 requests for citizen assistance, one report of disorderly conduct, one domestic violence complaint,  three cases of fraud, three harassment complaints, one hit-and-run,  one threat, eight re­ports of hazardous conditions, two juvenile problems/runaways, 10 disturbances, six reports of suspicious circumstances, three thefts, five traffic violations, one threat,

Land O’ Lakes man gets probation
for delivering marijuana in 2012

A 57-year-old Land O’ Lakes man pleaded no contest and was found guilty of manufacturing/delivery?of marijuana during a plea and sentencing hearing in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Audie B. Lapp had his sentence withheld and he was placed on probation for two years.

Vilas Circuit Judge Neal A. Nielsen III said the conditions of Lapp’s probation include: fined $1,000; pay a surcharge of $250; submit a DNA sample; complete any assessment?and?follow through for self abuse; and serve 30 days in the county jail with work release privileges.

Arbor Vitae couple gets probation
for taking funds from elderly man

An Arbor Vitae man and woman who took more than $7,000 from an elderly man’s bank account, had a charge of theft in a business setting amended to misdemeanor theft and they were placed on probation for six months in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Annetta L. Koshka, 71, and Joseph G. Chosa, 68, must also complete 60 hours of community service.

At least 20 calls were re­ferred to the Eagle River Police De­partment
