Four charged in Vilas County for allegedly selling marijuana

Four persons taken into custody during a search warrant on Highway 70 east of Eagle River made initial appearances in Vilas County Circuit Court Monday for felony charges of manufacturing and/or delivery of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver.

Joseph Woodward, 21, of Land O’ Lakes, and Kasey Tank, 20, of Sayner, each face one felony count of manufacture/delivery of marijuana.

Vilas County Sheriff

A total of 454 complaints were entered by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week.

The department reported at least 15 car vs. deer accidents, 14 vehicle accidents, two abandoned vehicles, six requests for agency assistance, seven requests for an ambulance, five animal problems, two batteries, one burglary, nine burglar alarms, 16 requests for citizen assistance,

Vilas County Court report

Lac du Flambeau man bound over
for allegedly sexually assaulting child

A 60-year-old Lac du Flambeau man, charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13 and attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13, was bound over for arraignment  in Vilas County Circuit Court last week after probable cause was found he had committed a crime.

Edward J. Peterson will return to the courtroom for his arraignment hearing June 16 at 10 a.m. Vilas Circuit Judge Neal A. Nielsen III?said Peterson’s $10,000 cash bond was continued.
