Addressing a few ATV ‘facts’

Letter to the Editor:

After reading the Aug. 6 letter from Dick Decker regarding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), we need to address a few of his “facts.”

First, the 2004 referendum is always considered an advisory vote. At that time, it was very clear that the majority of Vilas County voters did not want ATVs in Vilas County.

A watercolor painting had been given to The Rock as a gift of love. The painting is of Jesus sitting on a rock holding two baby chicks with a rainbow in the background and hens in the foreground. The painting has no monetary value, it isn’t even very well done. A couple from the southern
