The Three Lakes cross-country teams traveled to Marathon last Thursday for the Sawmill Classic Invitational, and Bluejays harrier Natalie Miller came away with a first-place finish.
Two hundred forty-three runners competed in the varsity girls and boys races, including teams from Tomahawk, Stratford, Auburndale, Marathon, Rib Lake-Prentice, Nekoosa, Athens, Wittenburg-Birnamwood, Merrill and Three Lakes.
Tomahawk won the girls race with a total of 43 points. On the boys side, the hosting team from Marathon easily took home the first-place trophy with 28 points.
For Three Lakes, 11 runners saw improvements to their race times from the prior week. Miller finished first with a time of 15:51.
