Site review scheduled Sept. 17 for Nicolet’s nursing program

Nicolet Area Technical College announced it will host a site review for continuing accreditation of its Associate of Applied Science-Nursing Degree program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 11:30 a.m. at Nicolet Area Technical College, Art Tech Building Room 206.

The public is welcome to attend to  meet the site visit team and share comments about the program.

Humanity work
Sunshine for Humanity of Eagle River held its grand opening and first fundraiser Aug. 16 featuring food, games, car dunk tank, bake sale, crafts and a flea market. Sunshine is a nonprofit organization that offers advocate services and finds resources to assist people in the community. LOLA’s ARTventure tour set Sept. 5-7 in Spring Green

Land O’ Lakes Area Artisans Inc. (LOLA) will offer its first ARTventure motorcoach tour, an opportunity to travel with a group to art venues outside of the central North Woods area, Sept. 5-7 in Spring Green.

“The ARTventure tour requires advanced registration because the tour activities fill fast for the summer.  This is also why we have arranged for the tour to be booked through Progressive Travel,”  explained Karen Lenhart, a LOLA board member who is spearheading this tour.

The tour will begin with an evening offering of Chek­ov’s “The Seagull” at the American Players Theatre, an outdoor amphitheatre. Pic­nic dinner will be included.

Dr. Meilahn joins Marshfield Clinic
DR. JILL MEILAHN

Dr. Jill Meilahn has joined the?Marshfield?Clinic Woodruff Center, according to health-care officials.

Meilahn is a pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation physician whose specialty is treating young people who have conditions such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy, brain injury, sports injuries and neuromuscular diseases.
