Food pantry donation
 Proceeds totaling $540 from the seventh annual Doc Gremban & Tom Vondrack Memorial Golf Outing recently were donated to the Vilas Food Pantry. Sixty golfers participated in the event, with Al Moustakis and Doc DeSutter winning with a low net score of 59. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church announces Fluegel as new pastor

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Eagle River announced that Rev. Andrea Fluegel is its new pastor. She will join the congregation and begin pastoral ministry Friday,  Aug. 1.

“I was drawn to Prince of Peace’s genuine sense of welcome and hospitality,” said Fluegel. “The congregation is truly passionate about its ministry to be a place and a people that make a difference in the lives of the larger Eagle River community and the world.

‘Talley’s Folly’ set Aug. 1-3 in Three Lakes

The Three Lakes Center for the Arts will present “Talley’s Folly,” an award-winning Broadway play performed by Wausau’s River District Theater Co., Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1 and 2, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 3, at 3 p.m.

The play stars Ellen Barker and Gary Anderson. Anderson has previously appeared in “It Had to be You” and “Lovers and Patriots.” The plot focuses on the unlikely romance of characters Matt Friedman and Sally Talley.

Admission is $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

Gospel revival slated Aug. 6-10

“He’s Alive-Simply Supernatural,” a five-day gospel revival, is set Wednesday through Sunday, Aug. 6-10 at 7 p.m. for The Rock Mission Center in Eagle River.

Evangelist Ikem Grigsby of Pearl River, La., will be the guest speaker at the event.

Grigsby is an traveling evangelist and missionary whose preaching, teaching and healing crusades have taken him to Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Belize and Costa Rica.

Senior Eagle River Volunteer Enterprise Inc. gave away a progressive jackpot at its Kalmar Monday Night Bingo July 21.
