Wild Eagle Lodge to host second annual Wild Days

Wild Eagle Lodge in Eagle River will host the second annual Wild Days event Wednesday, July 23, from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

“You and your family are invited to Wild Days on the grounds of the Wild Eagle Lodge. It’s fun for the entire family,” said Tammy Madl, assistant resort manager.

A water-ski show performed by the local Chain Skimmers team will be held at 7 p.m. Attendees are welcome to take lawn chairs to the show.

Nicolet plans summer series for children

Nicolet college announced the upcoming classes for youths entering fourth through seventh grades in its  Summer Discovery series which runs through Aug. 1.

Classes are held on Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Nicolet College campus, located one mile south of Rhinelander just off of Highway G. Cost is $45 for each class.

Upcoming classes include: July 18, “The World Through the Eye of a Photographer,” and “The World is Your Canvas”;July 25, “Make and Take the Cake,” and “Comic Book Creations”; and Aug. 1, “SewFabulous Fashion-It’s a Wrap,” “Your Life in Pictures-Scrapbook Archiving,” and “Fun with Fossils—Can You ‘Dig It?’”

‘Drawing for Children’ class to begin Friday, July 18, in Land O’ Lakes

Land O’ Lakes Area Artisans Inc. (LOLA) will host a “Drawing for Children” class lead by Land O’ Lakes Artistree Gallery professional artist Tim Black July 18, 24, 26 and 31, Aug. 2 and 8, from 10 a.m.-noon at the LOLA Center for the Arts.

Saturday, July 19, “Carver with a Heart” will feature a carving demonstration by chain-saw artist Cheryl Campbell the LOLA parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
