The 11th annual Labatt Blue/USA Hockey National Pond Hockey Championships returned to Dollar Lake last Friday through Sunday, bringing 280 teams to the greater Eagle River area.

The fifth annual Snowshow Challenge was held at the Tara Lila Section 9 Trails just south of Eagle River Saturday. The day included free use of the trails, food and refreshments, a bonfire, prizes and an evening candlelight walk.   
There were at least four traffic accidents Monday morning, including this one on Highway 45 between Eagle River and Conover. The others were on Highway 45 south of Eagle River, Highway 17 near Sundstein Road and Highway 70 west of St. Germain.... more
