Anthony "Andy" Emery
Anthony “Andy” Emery, age 68, a resident of Baraga, MI, passed away on Saturday November 1, 2025 at the Eagle River Memorial Hospital. Andy was born on April 7, 1957 to Clyde Swartz and Beverly Emery.
Andy attended Gogebic Community College and Northern Michigan University studying in a variety of fields. He earned a CDL worked as a trucker. He also worked as a logger, property manager and construction worker. His passion was commercial fishing on Lake Superior. He was a proud member of the Keweenaw Bay Tribe.
In his spare time Andy enjoyed hunting and working on his vehicles and boats. He also loved snowmobiling, camping, reading and watching documentaries. Andy was all about family and he managed to make everyone feel loved. Above all he loved spending time with his family. He made everyday a better day.
Andy is survived by his daughters, Carol (Adam) LaFriske of Land O’Lakes, WI and Toni (Patrick) Garrison on Eagle River, WI; grandchildren, Niklas, Noah, Trevor, Kaydee, Natalie, Rosie, and Paxson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and other family members.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
