Burnt Rollways Boat Hoist to open Saturday

The Burnt Rollways Boat Hoist, located between the Three Lakes and Eagle River Chain of Lakes, will open for the year on Saturday, May 24.

Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company (WVIC) is announcing a revised schedule of boat hoist operation and availability for 2025, as well as a change in lift rates.

May and June

•Hoist opens the Saturday preceding Memorial Day, May 24
•New this year: Closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in May and June (open Memorial Day Monday, May 26.)
•Open Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

July and August
•Open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
•*Reservations required for expected passages between 6 and 8 p.m. If a reservation/notification to the hoist operator is not made for this time, the hoist may be closed upon arrival.

September
•New this year: Closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in September (open Labor Day Monday, Sept. 1)
•Open hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
•Hoist closes after business hours on the last Sunday, Sept. 28

Rates
•One-way hoist: $15
•Two-way hoist: $20
•Six card punch passes: $50, must be used in year of purchase

Closing for inclement weather
Also new this year, boat hoist operators will have the discretion to close the hoist for the day if weather conditions dictate. Call the boat hoist 715-218-6514 or visit the WVIC website at wvic.com to verify the hoist is open during inclement weather.
