Praise in the Pines is just days away, bringing an afternoon of Christian music, ministry and community outreach to Eagle River.
The third annual event will take place Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Northland Pines Middle and High School auditorium, featuring Caleb and John, one of Christian music’s fastest-rising acts.
“The Praise in the Pines concert featuring Caleb and John is truly an event for everyone,” said Kathy Paul, Praise in the Pines board member. “It’s going to be an afternoon full of hope and joy, and a great place to bring your family on a Sunday afternoon.”
Caleb and John have quickly gained attention in contemporary Christian music, earning a No. 1 Christian radio hit with “Somebody Like Me.” Their debut single, “Hallelujah Feeling,” reached No. 3 on the charts, and the duo recently released “Finished,” an upbeat anthem centered on hope and perseverance.
The event begins with an opening prayer at 3 p.m. Caleb and John will perform their first set at 3:05 p.m., with keynote speaker Pastor Brad Davison taking the stage at 3:40 p.m.
After an intermission, Praise in the Pines president Bill Lochte will deliver a message at 4:30 p.m. before Caleb and John return for their second set at 4:40 p.m. The show will conclude at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for standard seating, $35 for preferred seating and $50 for premium seating, plus booking fees. Premium tickets include seating in rows 1–6 and admission to a VIP question-and-answer session with Caleb and John at 2 p.m. Seating within each section is first come, first served, and an early-entry upgrade is also available. Tickets are available at praiseinthepines.org.
Praise in the Pines, a volunteer-run ministry, will donate a portion of its event proceeds to Northwoods Share, a local nonprofit serving more than 300 area families each year across Eagle River, St. Germain, Conover, Three Lakes, Phelps, and Sayner.
“Our mission has always been simple: build faith, unite our neighbors and leave a lasting, positive impact right here at home,” said Bill Lochte, Praise in the Pines president. “Every ticket sold helps support organizations like Northwoods Share that care for our neighbors in need.”
Northwoods Share operates four local programs, including free community dinners held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from September through May at The Rock Mission Center in St. Mary of the Snows Anglican Church in Eagle River. The catered meals are free to all attendees and sponsored by local businesses.
In addition to its community dinners, Northwoods Share operates a pantry from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesdays, offering paper goods, personal care products, bedding and clothing, along with free coffee and treats.
Northwoods Share also offers the church-supported IC HELP program, which provides financial assistance and budgeting guidance to residents facing hardship. Its Esther’s Ministry program offers long-term support to single-parent families experiencing crises, helping them achieve greater stability and independence.
