Tomahawk woman convicted for fourth OWI
Melissa Robinson-Sizer, 44, of Tomahawk, pleaded guilty to one felony charge of fourth-offense OWI and was given two years’ probation with conditions. One of those conditions was to serve 45 days of conditional jail. There was $3,464 in fines and court costs as well. A 210-day sentence was stayed by Judge Daniel Overbey, which would be served in the case of revocation.
Shawn Briscoe, 38, of Eagle River, appeared for a hearing on one felony charge of first-degree child sexual assault- contact with a person under 16. Briscoe will now enter a plea at his next hearing on Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. The alleged offense occurred Jan. 1, 2012.
Quintin La Barge, 30, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a preliminary hearing on one felony bail-jumping charge and two other misdemeanors. Judge Daniel Overbey found probable cause, and the case may go to trial unless an agreement can be made prior. Prosecutors called Detective Nick Weber from the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Police Department to testify during the preliminary hearing.
Lewis Mann, 28, of Minocqua, appeared for an arraignment hearing on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor charge. The court entered a not-guilty plea. A plea/sentencing hearing was scheduled for Aug. 13 at 1:30 p.m.
