Rhinelander woman pleads guilty to felony possession

Emily Prien, 31, of Rhinelander, pleaded guilty to one felony count of possession of cocaine/cocaine/substace (second+ offense) at a plea/sentencing hearing last week. Two other felony possession charges and one misdemeanor bail-jumping charge were dismissed but read into the record for sentencing.

Judge Martha Milanowski stayed a six-month sentence in Vilas Jail for two years of probation with conditions. Fees totaling $518 are to be paid to the Clerk of Courts Office within 30 days. The offense took place on May 30, 2025.

Jameson Thoms-Bent, 25, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony possession of narcotics charge, one felony bail jumping charge and one other misdemeanor. Judge Martha Milanowski ordered two years of probation with conditions for both the felony bail jumping and felony drug possession charges. Judge Milanowski stayed sentences of six and 12 months in Vilas Jail, respectively. There are 20 days of presentence credit in the case of revocation.
