Gordon Merkel, 47, of St. Germain, had a $500,000 cash bond set at an initial hearing on one felony charge of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. Conditions of bond include no contact with the victim (s) in the case, along with no contact with minor children under any circumstances. An adjourned initial appearance was scheduled for Jan. 5, 2026, at 9 a.m. The alleged offense took place on Dec. 9.
Hunter Greyhair, 25, of Arbor Vitae, appeared by video in custody from the Oneida County Jail for an initial appearance on one felony charge of 2nd degree sex assault-intoxicated victim, and one felony bail jumping charge. A $100,000 cash bond with conditions was set during the hearing. An adjourned initial appearance was scheduled for Jan. 12 at 10:15 a.m. The alleged o enses took place on June 18, 2025.
Tiana Theobald, 34, of Lac du Flambeau, failed to appear for judicial pretrial on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. Judge Daniel Overbey issued a $500 bench warrant for the non-appearance.
Michael Mortag, 52, of Sayner, was ordered to three years of probation at a sentencing hearing one felony charge of possessing a firearm- convicted of a felony. Conditions of the probation include 90 days of conditional jail and a mental health assessment and follow-through. There are also $518 in court costs due to the Clerk of Courts Office. Huber privileges granted after Feb. 1, 2026. There were two days of presentence credit. The o ense took place on June 6, 2024.
