Appleton woman placed on probation for 2024 drug offense

Abigail Nicole Parker-Harris, 27, of Appleton, pleaded guilty to one felony count of manufacturing/delivering amphetamine (<=3g) last week. Judge Martha Milanowski stayed a sentence of 12 months in Vilas County Jail for three years of probation with conditions. There was $518 in court costs in the case. There was no presentence credit in the case of revocation. The offense took place on Feb. 8, 2024.

Forrest Pike, 57, of Berlin, appeared for an initial appearance last week on one felony charge of fraudulent writings by a corporate officer and one felony charge of theft of movable property exceeding $5,000 but less than $10,000. Judge Martha Milanowski set Pike’s signature bond at $5,000. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 27 at 2 p.m. The alleged offenses occurred on July 2, 2018.

Jack McBride, 40, of Arbor Vitae, appeared for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of sex registry violation and one misdemeanor. McBride pleaded guilty to the felony charge, and the misdemeanor was dismissed, but noted in the record for sentencing purposes. Judge Daniel Overbey sentenced McBride to two days in the Vilas County Jail, with credit for two days already served. There is $518 in financial obligations to be paid directly to the Clerk of Courts within 30 days.

Brian Cross Jr., 44, of Presque Isle, appeared for a sentencing hearing on one felony charge of manufacturing/delivering of amphetamine. Another felony charge was dismissed before the sentencing hearing. Judge Daniel Overbey withheld a sentence and ordered five years of probation with conditions. That offense took place on June 3, 2024. In the case of revocation, there were 74 days of credit in this case. In a separate case, Cross Jr. was sentenced to three years of probation with conditions on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was ordered to three years of probation, concurrent with the other case. That offense took place on May 1, 2025.

Alesha Swanson, 33, of Fairchild, was sentenced in a case involving two felony charges, one being theft in a business setting >$100,000 and fraudulent writings/by forgery. Judge Milanowski imposed and stayed jail sentences for four years of probation for both counts, with conditions. One of the conditions includes 12 months of conditional jail time, with six months being served in straight time and six months with huber privileges. Both counts are concurrent with each other. There were three days of presentence credit in the case of revocation.

Benjamin Rizzo, 39, of Eagle River, appeared for an initial appearance on one felony charge of misappropriation of ID info to obtain money. The defense waived a preliminary hearing, and probable cause was found. A not-guilty plea was entered by the court. The cash bond was set at $2,000 signiture bond. A judicial pretrial was scheduled for March 3 at 11:15 a.m. The alleged offense took place on Oct. 21, 2025.

Shannon Chapman, 39, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a motion hearing on one misdemeanor and one felony bail-jumping charge. Judge Daniel Overbey adjusted Chapman’s cash bond down to $500 with conditions. Those conditions include maintaining absolute sobriety, not possessing or consuming intoxicants, not being in a tavern or tavern portion of a restaurant, not possessing, using or ingesting illegal drugs and not taking prescription drugs unless prescribed. An adjourned initial appearance was scheduled for Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. Both offenses took place on Jan. 2.
