Lemmons convicted in first-degree reckless injury case

Wilhelm Lemmons, 39, of Eagle River, appeared for an oral ruling last week on one felony charge of first-degree reckless injury. This came after a court trial in the case back on June 24. Lemmons did not testify at the trial or during the oral ruling. Prosecutors and the defense presented their closing arguments, and Judge Mary Sowinski found the defendant guilty of the charge. The court also ordered a presentence investigation. The offense took place on April 19, 2024.

He was also in court for a status hearing on one felony charge of manufacturing/delivery fentanyl. State prosecutors moved to dismiss the charge, and Judge Martha Milanowski granted the motion, thereby discharging Lemmons from bond in this case.

Thomas Solokis Jr, 43, of Eagle River, had an initial hearing July 14 on five felony charges of possession of child pornography and one felony charge of failure/maintain sex offender registry.

Judge Martha Milanowski set a $250,000 cash bond with conditions. Solokis Jr. had a hearing July 20, with his next appearance set for Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m.
The alleged offenses occurred June 25.

Jeremy Waterman, 37, of Lac du Flambeau, pleaded guilty to one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor at a plea/sentencing hearing last week. Four other misdemeanor charges were moved to be dismissed but read into the record for sentencing. Waterman was ordered to pay a $150 fine plus court costs totaling $642. For the possession felony, Judge Milanowski ordered 18 months of probation with conditions. Waterman will also pay an additional $518 in court costs for the possession.
