Lac du Flambeau woman pleads guilty to three felony charges

Skylar La Barge, 32, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a plea hearing on two felony counts of child abuse- intentionally cause harm, one felony strangulation and suffocation and two other misdemeanors.

La Barge pleaded guilty to all five counts and was found guilty. Judge Martha Milanowski orders a presentence investigation with a DOC sentencing recommendation. Bond was revoked for the case, and La Barge was remanded to Vilas Jail. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for April 29 at 2 p.m.

Lindy Lindstrand, 67, of Conover, was ordered to pay $3,229.19 in restitution at a restitution hearing last week on one felony charge of substantial battery, intended bodily harm. Payments will start on April first, and a minimum of $170 a month is to be paid directly to the Clerk of Courts Office.

Lindstrand was found guilty of the felony charge at a jury trial in October 2025 and was ordered to two years of probation. The restitution amount is a part of the probation conditions.

Angela Roberts, 47, of Eagle River, appeared for a plea hearing and pleaded guilty to one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. Judge Daniel Overbey found Roberts guilty of the offense. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for March 16 at 2:30 p.m. The offense took place on July 15, 2025.

Scott Moxham, 37, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a preliminary hearing on one felony charge of threat to cause bodily harm to certain individuals involved with a court or legal system and one felony charge of bail jumping. Deputy Brian Bagrowski of the VCSO provided testimony and identified Moxham. Probable cause was found, and a judicial pretrial was scheduled for March 24 at 9:15 a.m.

Stacy Randall Jansen, 48, of Eagle River, pleaded guilty to one felony charge of fourth-offense OWI last week during a plea/sentencing hearing. Judge Daniel Overbey imposed and stated a 12-month sentence in Vilas Jail for three years of probation with conditions. Ninety (90) days of conditional jail is one of the conditions, along with $4,226 in fines and costs and 33 months of an ignition interlock device and 33 months of license revocation.
