THREE LAKES — Improvements on the Highway X bridge in the town of Three Lakes are beginning, which could cause temporary traffic delays.
The bridge is located between Luebbing and Goodenough roads and work will be completed by Janke Contractors based in Athens. Project Manager Shawn Ruzic expected to begin construction on or near July 27, with completion by Oct. 9 as weather and field conditions permit.
Motorists should expect temporary traffic control, reduced speeds, lane restrictions and occasional delays throughout the project. Ruzic noted that some traffic delays may be as long as five to 10 minutes for moving equipment and materials, and asks that drivers be patient and plan accordingly.
Ruzic said that although temporary disruptions may occur during construction immediately adjacent to driveways, Janke will coordinate with affected property owners in advance whenever it is practical.
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
