A 36-year-old Eagle River man was sentenced to four years of probation with conditions after Vilas County Branch 2 Judge Daniel Overbey stayed a sentence of two years of confinement and another two of extended supervision on one felony THC possession charge, one felony bail jumping, and one felony retail theft charge in two separate cases. A misdemeanor charge was dismissed but read into the record for sentencing.

Brian Thomas’ conditions for his probation include six months of conditional jail, maintaining absolute sobriety, taking prescription medication as prescribed, full-time employment and other programming that is seen as appropriate by his agent.

Jeffery Alderman, 41, of Land O’ Lakes, pleaded guilty at his plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of methamphetamine possession. His nine-month sentence was stayed for two years of probation with conditions. There are three days of presentence credit in the case of revocation.

Charles Isham, 38, of Lac du Flambeau, was sentenced to seven years in the Wisconsin Prison System, including three years of confinement and four of extended supervision on one felony charge of manufacturing/delivering amphetamine. The sentence will be concurrent with any other case. There were 23 days of presentence credit.

Craig Hrabe, 38, of Campbellsport, pleaded not guilty to one felony count of narcotics possession last week at his arraignment hearing. Branch 1 Judge Martha Milanowski also amended his bond to $400, which was previously posted, with conditions to maintain absolute sobriety and not possess any weapons.

Kory  La Barge, 47, of Lac du Flambeau, waived his preliminary hearing for four cases involving 16 felony charges. La Barge was bound over for arraignment and a not-guilty plea was entered by the court. Bond was continued and a judicial pretrial was set for Feb. 26, 2025, at 9 a.m.

Destiny Deverney, 19, of Lac du Flambeau, did not appear for an adjourned initial appearance on one felony count of methamphetamine possession. Branch 2 Judge Daniel Overbey issued a body-only bench warrant for the non-appearance.

Keith Hickman, 46, of Lac du Flambeau, had a sentencing hearing on revocation set for one felony OWI charge he was found guilty of in 2021, and had a sentencing hearing scheduled for Jan. 2, 2025, on two felony counts of first-degree child sexual assault with a person under the age of 13.

Shantel Turney, 29, of Woodruff, failed to appear on one felony charge of possession with intent of amphetamine/methamphetamine, along with three other felony charges in another case. Judge Overbey issued a body-only warrant, with a motion hearing being scheduled for Dec. 6, at 10:30 a.m., and a jury trial for the possession charge to begin Dec. 19, at 8:30 a.m.
