Gwendolyn Scharf
Gwendolyn Sue (née Budde) Scharf passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at Careview Nursing Home in Minocqua, WI.
She was born on March 15, 1948, in Eagle River, WI, to Albert Peter and Anita (née McIntyre) Budde, being the third of four children.
Gwen graduated from Eagle River High School in 1966, and worked in various positions in the Eagle River, Green Bay, and Milwaukee areas, most notably at Simpson Electric in Eagle River and Vesta in Milwaukee.
In October 1966, Gwen married Don Scharf, and they had two sons, Paul and Scott, before divorcing in 1979. She met Richie Andrejczak in 1982, and they shared 21 years together until his passing in 2007.
In her spare time, Gwen enjoyed reading, gardening, and creating Christmas decorations with beads.
Gwen is survived by her sons, Paul (Chelle) Scharf of Eagle River, WI, and Scott Scharf of Columbus, WI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Erik Scharf of Madison, WI, Alex (Katie) Dillahunt of Eau Claire, WI, Cody (Mary) Scharf of Brooklyn Center, MN, and Emmie (Ben) Vrieze of Shafer, MN. She was a proud great-grandmother to Oliver Dillahunt and Miles Scharf. Additionally, Gwen is survived by her brothers, Dennis (Christine) Budde of Winter Haven, FL, and Todd (Wendy) Budde of Eagle River, WI, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Anita; her sister, Pamme Williams; and her partner, Richie Andrejczak.
A funeral service and burial will be held in the spring.
