Invasives partnership to hold workshop, annual meeting

The Wisconsin Headwaters Invasives Partnership (WHIP) will host its summer workshop and annual meeting Friday, July 24, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at North Lakeland Discovery Center.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and pastries, followed by a welcome and introduction at 9 a.m.

Presenters will begin at 9:25 a.m. to discuss topics including which invasive plants to treat, an inside look at the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection’s Plant Industry Bureau, and how to winter sow native plants to combat invasive species.

A complimentary taco bar lunch will be put on at 11:45 a.m., followed by the annual business meeting at 12:30 p.m.
