James "Jim" Hill
James F. Hill, "Jim", 96, of Eagle River, passed away on January 2, 2026, at Seasons of Life Hospice.
Jim was born in Elroy, Wisconsin, on June 8, 1929, to Frank and Viola Hill (Farrell). He was a graduate of Elroy High School.
Jim retired from Twin Disc in Racine. He was a past member of snowmobile clubs and Eagle River fair board. Jim married Winifred (Fitzsimmons) on December 31,1949, in Racine. He has three daughters, Patricia, Laurel and Ria. Jim was a wonderful husband, good dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He could repair, fix and build anything and was an all around good guy. Remember-“just 2 more minutes” and “ don’t you forget it”.
Jim is survived by his wife, Winifred of 76 years; two daughters, Patricia Jon Braun and Ria (Mike) Burdick. Four grandchildren, Sherrie (John) Dorn, Shelley Braun, Lori (Jake) Oesau, and Eric Burdick. Six grandchildren, Joseph Boesen, Kayla Boesen, Connor Murphy, Renee (Colby) Oesau, Jacob Oesau and Lilly Oesau. Two great-grandchildren, John Boesen, Jordan Boesen, Santiago Cantu and Brynlee Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom, Jerry and daughter Laurel.

Service will be held at St Peters Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:30. Lunch to follow at Chubbies Restaurant.
