James Joritz
James Spencer Joritz, 72, passed away on October 17, 2026, in Eagle River, WI.
He was born October 24, 1953, in Ottawa, IL, to William (Bill) and Sherley Joritz.
He lived and worked in Marseilles, IL, for many years until retiring to Eagle River, WI, in 2017.
While living in Marseilles he worked at National Biscuit Company and SAABIC, chemical plastics plant, until his retirement.
He married his soulmate, Cecilia, in 2008. Together they enjoyed life to the fullest. County fairs, casinos, comedy clubs, movies, bowling and dinner with friends. Jim was an avid snowmobiler and bowler. While bowling he achieved several perfect games of 300 and 800 series of which he was very proud. He assisted others with fixing anything mechanical.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; sister, Jennifer (Phil) Zahorik; two step-sons Joe (Stephanie) Monier and Christopher Monier; several nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two step-sons, Chad and Michael Monier.
Inurnment will be in Marseilles, IL, at a later date.
