He married Barbara Krizak on May 31, 1975; she survives.
Jerry graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology. He dedicated his professional career at Northern Lakes Service in Crandon, WI, where he worked in the Organic Lab for over 20 years.
Upon retirement, he enjoyed his time substitute teaching at the Three Lakes School District.
An avid outdoorsman, Jerry found great joy in cross-country skiing, especially kortelopet and practicing skate skiing along Anvil Trail. He enjoyed running races and biking the Three Lakes Trail. Summers were often filled with picking strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, as well as making trips to pick up peaches from the peach truck in Eagle River. He took pride in canning fruits and vegetables and cutting wood for the furnace. Jerry cherished time on pontoon trips along the Chain, traveling with loved ones, and simply enjoying the beauty of God’s creation.
He was a faithful man who read his Bible regularly and attended church. A devoted sports fan, Jerry loved listening to Milwaukee Brewers games and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Even more than professional sports, he loved cheering for his children and grandchildren at their games and activities. He treasured taking care of his grandchildren offering guidance and love. He also enjoyed reading history books, watching television, and even keeping an eye out for pennies on the ground! Jerry had a special love for his pet dogs, who brought him companionship and joy throughout the years.
His faith in Jesus is why he is looking down on all of us in Heaven today.
