Kent Kohn

''It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

Kent Lee Kohn passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 66 from a heart attack. Kent was a native of Port Washington, WI and current resident of Eagle River, WI.

Kent truly knew that it was more blessed to  give than to receive. His generosity knew no bounds. He was not only generous in life, but also in death as an organ donor. Throughout his life, Kent was a loving son, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend to many within the communities where he served. Kent was always grateful and considered it a blessing to spend many quality moments with his kids, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Rarely would he miss one of the grandkid's sporting games or school events, it was a priority for him out of love and immense pride.

Kent received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, WI; a Master of Business Administration Degree from Cardinal Stritch College - Milwaukee, WI; a Master of Arts - Religion and Ministry Degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

Kent's professional career included success in mergers and acquisitions, marketing and sales management, project and strategic planning and turnaround consulting.

Kent's community leadership work was an important passion for him. He served with the City on the Hill Medical Clinic as a volunteer - Milwaukee, WI, Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club Board of Directors, Ozaukee County Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors, Ozaukee YMCA Board of Directors/Building Committee Member, Port Washington Soccer Club President/Field Construction Director, Short Term Foreign Missions Team Member/Leader, and volunteered with Teen & Career Age Adult Mentoring. Kent was instrumental in developing and directing the creation of Esther's House in Vilas County, WI - a transitional living program for single mothers with children.

Kent is survived by his wife, Patricia - married 45 years; their children, Nathan (Katie) of Eagle River, WI, Lauren (Jonath,an) Emanuelson of Gonubie, South Africa; sisters, Lisa (Dick) Krier and Litha Mueller, both of Port Washington, WI, Janet (Mike) Cook of Montello, WI; sister-in-law, Debra (Mike) Budzisz, Diane (Bob) Nelson, Carol (Pat) Corcoran, and Cheryl Hock; grandchildren, Jordan, Cailyn, Natalie, Liesl, Evie, and Ethan.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Lila and Edward Kohn; brother-in-law, Gary Mueller; and foster sister Marlinda.

Friends and Family will be greeted on Friday, July 18, from 9-11 a.m. at Northlife Church in St. Germain, WI, followed by a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. The Pastor Josh Reese, Senior Pastor, will lead the celebration of life service.

The family is grateful to the staff at Aspirus Eagle River Hospital, Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Aspirus MedEvac air transportation, Dr. Samer Jabbour, MD, and nurses in the cardiac ICU at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Their relentless and loving care for Kent was greatly appreciated by the family.
