Michael Keintz
Michael Paul Keintz, age 83, passed away on July 10, 2026.
He is survived by wife, Judy (Lepak); sons, Bruce (Sandi) and Brad; grandchildren, Taylor, Paul and Ann; extended family; and many friends.
Born on October 5, 1942, in Benson, Minnesota, Michael was the son of Paul and Deloris Keintz. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany, where he developed a lifelong passion for cars and racing.
After returning home, Michael completed his college degree in three years and married Sue Hoover on September 3, 1966, they had 48 wonderful years together until her passing in 2014. Michael began a long career with Shell Oil, living in Milwaukee, Texas, and eventually the northern Chicago suburbs, where he and Sue raised their sons, Bruce and Brad.
Michael loved the outdoors and was active in many community groups supporting his hobbies—skeet shooting, hunting, waterskiing, snowmobiling, and boating. He fulfilled a dream when he purchased his 1996 Corvette and enjoyed many cars thereafter.
He retired at 56 and moved with Sue to the north woods of Wisconsin, where the spent many years enjoying the outdoors. Michael married Judy in 2015, and together they lived in Florida and Arizona, where he remained active and involved in community life.
Michael is reunited with Sue; his parents Paul and Deloris; and his sister Linda. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, generosity, and love of life.
The funeral will be held on Sat. July 25 at 10:00am at Conover Evangelical Free Church, 3725 US Highway 45, Conover, WI
Burial at Oak Hill cemetery following service a Celebration of Life will follow at Stateline VFW Post 8400, 4493 County Road B, Land O’ Lakes, WI
