Oneida road construction projects set to conclude soon

A number of road constructions projects in Oneida County were scheduled to wrap up last week.

In Three Lakes, the Highway 45 resurfacing project from highways 8 to 32 that included replacement of 22 culverts and adjusting and replacing guardrail, along with installing centerline rumble strips was set to conclude Oct. 2.

On Highway 8 from highways 47 to 17 North, crews removed the existing asphalt and concrete pavement, paved a new asphalt surface, and installed centerline rumble strips. The intersections of Highway 17 South/WD Boyce Drive, and highways G and 8 were reconstructed as single lane roundabouts.

Work on Highway 51 from Minocqua Bridge to Front Street also is scheduled to conclude Oct. 9. The project included concrete joint repairs, curb and gutter improvements and reconstruction of curb ramps to meet ADA standards.
