Phelps seeking new clerk; applications due by Dec. 2

The Town of Phelps is seeking a new clerk after Sheryl Ward announced her resignation effective Dec. 31.

In her resignation letter, Ward expressed her deep gratitude to the town board and the community for its help, understanding and kindness over her 3.5-year stint as clerk.

“The opportunity to learn and grow while facing various challenges made my time serving Phelps both rewarding and fulfilling,” she said in the letter. “I am thankful for the experiences and connections I have made during my service.”

Application forms are available on the town’s website at phelpswi.gov. Any applications are due back to the town’s office by Dec. 2.
