Phelps UCC to host hunter’s supper

Posted

The Phelps Congregational United Church of Christ (UCC) will hold its annual hunter’s supper Saturday, Nov. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. to mark the opening of deer hunting season.

The event is a tradition that has been drawing area hunters and non-hunting community members for the past 60 years.

The family-style meal will feature meatballs made from locally raised angus beef donated by Marge and Dick Hiller, along with mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, cranberries, dinner rolls and beverages. The dessert table will include homemade pies and more.

Tom Hickson will provide the musical entertainment.

The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and younger.

Phelps UCC is handicap accessible and located on Highway 17 in downtown Phelps, across from North Twin Lake.
