Plum Lake library sponsors Cookbook Club

Posted

The Plum Lake Public Library is sponsoring a Cookbook Club for culinary enthusiasts and foodies seeking a like-minded community.
The club introduces members to a new cookbook and/or theme each month.
The fourth Thursday of the month the club holds their monthly meeting which consists of tasting each other’s fares with a potluck dinner. Cooks relate how they prepared the recipe, what they would change, and their opinion. Diners are welcome to ask questions and make comments.
When the cookbook or theme of the month is announced, members choose recipes they would like to prepare. The theme for January is a chili cook-off. Cooks are welcome to make and bring a chili made with their favorite recipe. Instead of chili, members could bring a topping, side dish or dessert.
The club will meet at Plum Lake Library, Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a dish prepared from the chosen recipes, personal beverages, and table setting including plate, utensils and napkins, and an appetite.
For more information on the club, email Emilie Braunel, library director, at ebraunel@sayner.wislib.org or visit the library.
The Plum Lake Public Library, 8789 Peterson St. in Sayner, is open Monday through Saturday.
Visit plumlakelibrary.org for hours, library catalog, book clubs and other resources.
