Vilas County Sheriff

The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office reported 148 CAD calls last week, which included nine 911 hangups, seven car versus deer accidents, one hit and run traffic accident, one personal injury accident, one non-reportable traffic accident, one property damage accident, five agency assists, six burglary alarms, two fire alarms, six ambulance requests, two child abduction alerts, one odg bite, two animal problems, one locate attempt, one battery, eight conditions of bond, five citizen assists, one criminal damage to property, four disorderly conducts, three dispatch deer in a roadway, one disturbance, two domestic violence complaints, five sick leaves, one found property, three frauds, two internet frauds, one harassment, five warrant/hit confirmations, one no burn permit, 10 information reports, two restraining violations, one employee injured on duty, one problem in jail, two juvenile problems, one DOC offender release, one officer safety information, two drug or alcohol-related OWI, one protection order, one probation violation, one vacation check, two officer assists, one lewd and lacivious, five suspicious circumstances, one property/general theft, two thefts from a vehicle, one medication theft, one threat, one hazard, eight traffic violations, two trespassing calls, one weapons offense and 12 welfare checks. Four people were taken into custody and booked into the Vilas County Jail last week.
