Richard Schiddel
Richard C. Schiddel of Eagle River died March 10, 2025, after battling many ailments. He was 85.
Mr. Schiddel was born March 1, 1940, to Herman and Bertha Schiddel. At age 17 he joined the U.S.M.C.
When he returned to Eagle River, he met the love of his life, Gail Perry, at her family’s bar and restaurant where she worked. She soon became Gail Schiddel.
Richard is survived by his wife, Gail; three sons; Dereck, Shawn, Christian; and one daughter, Shannon; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Pharis.
He was preceded by his parents and six sisters.
Per Richard’s wishes a memorial will be held privately.
Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River is serving the family.
