Robin Lee Lindberg, age 64, of St. Germain, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Minocqua, WI, after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer.

She was born in Bay Shore, NY, on May 18, 1961, to Lorraine Humphrey (nee Sena) and the late Walter “Bob” Humphrey of Islandia, NY.

Robin graduated from Central Islip HS, Central Islip, NY, and attended college in Oneonta (SUNY), NY, where she earned her BA, Business Economics. She was active in softball, tennis and swimming during her school years.

After college, Robin began her career in the financial industry with Citigroup in New York City. In 1984, she took the opportunity to relocate to the Chicago area with her job at Diners Club International, where she held various management positions, including Director and Senior Vice President for 31 years.

Her second career, in the hospitality industry, began in 2015, at Holiday Inn Express in Lake Zurich, IL, where she served as Front Desk Manager, during which time she earned her degree in Hospitality from College of Lake County. From 2018 – 2021, she served as the Award-Winning General Manager at Holiday Inn Express in Salem, IL. Shortly after retirement, she was contracted as Task Force General Manager at Comfort Suites in Marietta, OH.

Robin and John met at a softball game in Arlington Heights, IL, in July of 1984. Engaged on December 25, 1985, in Wautoma, WI, they married on October 10, 1987, in Central Islip, NY. They purchased their first home in 1989, in Wauconda, IL, where they raised Brian and Jeff. All during her successful careers, Robin was a caring and loving wife to her husband and mother to her sons. She will be deeply missed every day.

She was a great cook with her signature delicious creations being: Sausage Ziti, Pulled Pork Chili, Stuffed Shells with Sausage, and handmade meatballs which were loved by all friends and family.

Robin loved to watch Brian and Jeff play baseball from T-ball through college. She was the official scorekeeper for Jeff’s travel team and would have helped coach any team if asked. Most days, she could be seen driving to and from work or a ballgame in her Electric Green Mustang convertible. She loved her many pet Boxers over the years. Robin was also happy to return to New York for a family wedding recently.

Robin served her communities as a Wauconda HS FBLA Judge, a Lake County Voter Services Judge, a Wauconda Township Trustee, a member of Rotary and Lions Club, a City of Salem Tourism Council Board Member and a member of the St. Germain Women’s Service Club.

Robin was introduced to snowmobiling on New Years Eve 1984, by her new boyfriend. She rode all over Wisconsin, the UP of Michigan and Northeastern Illinois. There were also special trips to ride in upstate New York, twice in Ontario, Canada and twice in West Yellowstone, MT. Robin designed one of the first Snowmobile Club websites. She served in various leadership positions in many Snowmobile Clubs: the Riverbend Benders, Wauconda, Northeastern Illinois Association, and the Illinois Association. Most recently, she served as Public Relations and Social Media Director, primarily maintaining the Facebook page for the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club of St. Germain.
