Sandra Martin
Sandra D. Martin (Timen), 82, of Phelps, WI, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Sandra was born on May 11, 1943, in Chicago, IL, and moved to northern Wisconsin in 1974, where she would spend the rest of her life building a home full of warmth and love. Known to all as Sandy, she was a devoted wife and mother whose family always came first in everything she did. Whether she was serving as a Cub Scout Den Mother for her boys or chauffeuring her daughter to ice skating, dance, and swimming lessons, she gave of herself wholeheartedly and without hesitation.
Sandy had a lifelong love for her standard poodles — Lady, Colby, Lexi, and Paige — who were each treasured members of the family. Her devotion extended to her grand pups as well, and she had a special place in her heart for every four-legged family member who came through her door.
Sandy was a cherished member of Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church in Conover, WI, where her generous spirit was felt by all who knew her. An amazing quilter, Sandy contributed her time and talents to the church, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected her care and creativity.
She had a true gift for cooking as well, and her fellow congregation members will long remember the remarkable dishes she brought to the after-church coffee hour. Sandy shared her love through her recipes, and the flavors she created will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Dick; her children, Scott (Sarah Inman), Kevin, and Kelly (Kevin Bitner); and her sister, Karen Modler (John) and nephews.
Sandy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church in Conover, WI at a later date.
