The third-annual Tradtion on Ice hockey camp hosted by Jinelle Zaugg-Siergiej, her husbund Michael and a handful of other coaches and volunteers wrapped up early last week, as local skaters got a chance to work on multiple skills throughout the three day camp.
Over the past two years, Zaugg-Siergiej has donated all camp proceeds to the Eagle River Recreation Association, totaling $20,000.
In 2026, ice costs of $2,700 and camp proceeds totaling $7,300 will again be donated to the ERRA for whatever is needed the most, which is the new ice plant the Dome is currently fundraising for.
“We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that means so much to us. Our goal is to inspire tradition one player at a time, going far beyond hockey to inspire these kids to grow not only as athletes but as great people. It is so fun to be able to use hockey as a way to help the community,” stated Zaugg-Siergiej. “We are thrilled to donate 100 percent of our camp proceeds back to the ERRA to support whatever the rink needs most this year.”
