Two public meetings set to discuss Boulder Junction gathering space

Posted

Boulder Junction — The Town of Boulder Junction is embarking on a project that honors the past while building for the future.

The Station at Boulder Junction is envisioned as a year-round community gathering space that celebrates the town’s railroad heritage, enhances the downtown vitality, and strengthens Boulder Junction’s identity as a place where residents and visitors alike can connect, celebrate and belong.

Members of the community are invited to participate in two upcoming engagement meetings on Thursday, July 30, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 1, at 9 a.m. Both meetings are open to the public and will be held in the Boulder Junction Community Center.

The purpose of these meetings is to engage the residents of Boulder Junction in shaping The Station Project before final design decisions are made. The hope is to gather ideas, better understand community priorities, identify opportunities to improve the concept, and encourage community ownership of what can become a lasting asset for Boulder Junction.

These meetings are not public hearings, and no decisions will be made at the meeting. The town is still in the design process, which means the community’s ideas can genuinely influence both the design and future programming of The Station.

The Town of Boulder Junction Economic Development Committee and the town board are leading the Station at Boulder Junction Project in partnership with engaged community members.

More information on the project can be found online at townofboulderjunction.org/economic-development-connect-communities-committee.
