Nominations are open for the YMCA of the Northwoods’ Teen Character Awards, which will be hosted on Sunday, April 6.
The Rhinelander Rotary Club is returning as the presenting sponsor of the YMCA Teen Character Awards. The Awards recognize teens that demonstrate the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, aligning with Rhinelander Rotary’s dedication to service, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership.
The awards are a way to recognize teens who have made positive changes in their lives and communities. Nominees can highlight this achievement on their college and job applications. Nominations can be submitted via mail, fax, email, or through their website at www.ymcaofthenorthwoods.com, with a submission deadline of Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The Y is also accepting sponsorships for the Y Teen Character Awards.
Teens and businesses throughout the North Woods are able to participate, including those from Price, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas counties.
If interested in sponsoring the event, or nominating a teen, visit www.ymcaofthenorthwoods.org or contact Tammy Zellmer at tzellmer@ymcanw.org or 715.362.9622, ext. 102.
