Aqua Devils to host open house

The Three Lakes Aqua Devils Waterski Team invites the community to their pre-season recruitment event on Saturday, May 24, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Phyllis B. Felland Memorial Waterski Park in Three Lakes.

The team welcomes area children of all ages and ski ability levels. Light snacks will be served, and information about joining the team will be provided.

“The Aqua Devils are a North Woods tradition, and we are excited to welcome new members to join our club,” said Peter Rietz, board member and alumnus. “Putting on ski shows for the community creates lasting summer memories and provides kids with tremendous growth, learning, and leadership experiences.”

Attendees can meet current Aqua Devils and alumni and try some dry-land practice.
Board members will be on hand to answer parents’ questions.

The Aqua Devils perform ski shows every summer from mid-June to early August, along the shores of Big Stone Lake at the Phyllis B. Felland Memorial Park on Golf Course Loop Road off Highway 32.

The Aqua Devils are a nonprofit organization, putting on twice-weekly ski shows since 1958. Admission to Aqua Devils ski shows is free, and therefore, the team relies on charitable donations to cover the cost of gas, equipment, and boat rentals.
