Historical Society to host 50/50 raffle at parade

Posted

The Three Lakes Historical Society is excited to announce that the Lions Club has graciously invited them back for a third year to host a 50/50 raffle during the Fourth of July parade on Friday, July 4.

Look for raffle ticket sellers wearing bright green along the parade route from 8 a.m. until the parade begins at 9 a.m.

The winning ticket number will be announced from the second-to-last float in the parade. The lucky winner will receive half of the total proceeds from ticket sales. Last year’s raffle was a big success, awarding nearly $3,000 to the winner.

Organizers anticipate an even bigger turnout this year, making it a great fundraising opportunity for the Historical Society and Museum.

Tickets are six for $5, available for purchase with cash or Venmo.

The Three Lakes Historical Museum was founded in 1981, with the Historical Society following in 1984 as part of the Three Lakes Centennial Celebration. The museum features seven distinct exhibit buildings offering a comprehensive look at the history and people of the Three Lakes area. Start your visit at the museum’s Visitors Center, located inside the Demmer Library.

Summer hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., through Labor Day.
