Christopher Valliere, 37, of Lac du Flambeau, had a $2,000 cash bond set on one felony count of methamphetamine possession and felony bail-jumping. The bond was changed from $2,500, with conditions to maintain absolute sobriety, not possess or consume intoxicants, not be in a tavern or tavern portion of a restaurant, not possess, use or ingest illegal drugs, and not take prescription drugs unless prescribed. An adjourned initial appearance was scheduled for Nov. 11, at 9 a.m.
Josephine Smith, 32, of Lac du Flambeau, did not appear for an adjourned initial appearance on one felony bail-jumping charge and one misdemeanor battery charge. Branch 1 Judge Martha Milanowski issued a body-only bench warrant for the nonappearance.
Jeffery Schuman, 39, of Lac du Flambeau, waived his preliminary hearing on one felony charge of methamphetamine possession and one felony bail jumping charge. The court entered a not-guilty plea, and a judicial pretrial was set for Jan. 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m.
Theodore Gans, 32, of Crandon, did not appear for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of a fourth offense OWI. The defense stated that Gans was incarcerated in another county at the time, and a $500 bench warrant was issued for the nonappearance.
